This 18 hole championship layout is built on the rolling natural sand dunes of Bribie Island and offers golfers of all levels an enjoyable challenge. The Club is located just between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast and accommodation is available next to the Fairways Golf and Beach Retreat or at the many other excellent places on Bribie Island.
Bribie Island natural sand base prodvides both a wonderful growing medium for the lush fairways and the ideal drainage as it is one of the sand islands of Moreton Bay. Regarding its seaside location and bushland setting the course can offer all the playing advantages of a sandbelt course. It is an 18 hole, par 72 layout and measures 6203 metres. The well grassed fairways are wavy, following the contours of ancient sand dunes. It is an easy walking course with the bunkers and sandy lies off the fairways that offer plenty of challenges. Greens are generous in size and offer an excellent putting surface.
The Bribie Island Golf Club provides a wide range of facilities for weddings, parties and other significant events and more intimate function room with its own bar will seat up to 80 people. The Club also has larger function area, incorporating the bistro and Clubhouse lounge that can seat up to 250 but is also an excellent venue for up to 160 people when the professional parquetry dance floor is utilised. The Clubhouse overlooks the course and is a wonderful setting for wedding and special occasion photographs.
The Golf Club's hire rates are very reasonable and include set up and removal time and beverage service staff for weddings, engagements, parties etc seeking exclusive use of one of the function areas.
Bribie Island Golf Club is very popular for a day trip or a weekend break from Brisbane as well as longer holidays. The Club welcomes guests, whatever the length of stay, and has golfing opportunities for all skill levels.
