One of the most scenic golf courses is located beside the deep blue waters of Lake Wakatipu at the foot of the Remarkables Range in west Otago. This is the Kelvin Heights course at Queenstown Golf Club. From every spot you feel you can reach out and touch the craggy mountain peaks that surround the lake, even the view from the parking lot is awesome. Spectacular views aside, the course itself is a good one. Constantly waving and therefore hilly, this very good design accommodates a few rocky outcrops and many tall pines. Unique, memorable and magnificent – the best description for this course.
Queenstown Golf Club is the perfect venue to improve the game or learn to play as far as it is suitable for all ages and abilities and is the perfect for those with limited time. There is a well stocked golf shop with great chances to try out clubs on the driving range prior to purchase.
The Clubhouse facilities can suggest its guests the Peninsula Bar and Restaurant which offers excellent cuisine, service and amazing views of the Remarkables, Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown.
Visitors must bear in mind that Queenstown is New Zealand’s year-round tourist destination, with four world-renowned ski fields within easy reach, that have tons of snow to ski, snowboard and play in. If you visitors are craving to try something a bit more daring, Queenstown is the world capital and home of bungy jumping. In order to relax and wind down or just to enjoy the magnificent scenery there are many great specialty and souvenir shops and over 100 restaurants.
Do not miss the unique opportunity to play on what is undoubtedly regarded as one of the most picturesque golf courses in the world.
