The club and the 18-holes course were founded in 1968 and the first official tournament had been held in 1970. Since that time the course has been the venue not only of tens local tournaments per year but also of many championships and professional tournaments.
The course is situated in the ?ilhe?ovice's manor park, only 15 kilometres from downtown Ostrava. The park’s dominant feature, the Rothschild chateau, is surrounded by numerous rare trees that have been brought here from all over the world. They not only line the narrow fairways, but you will also find all kinds of solitary oddly-shaped trees on many holes. The trees are an integral part of your golfing experience here. While the championship course is not long, it is diverse and requires accurate play. If you want to have a nice round here and admire the perfect balance of the course and nature, play with careful thought and don’t take any unnecessary risks. When you are done playing, you can enjoy the atmosphere of a historic clubhouse on the bank of the chateau’s lake.
Nowadays, the club itself has some700 members and belongs to the "Big Five" in Czech golf.
